INTERNSHIPS:

Universal Music Production Center, | September 20th, 2023 - present 

  • Working with a professional music producer to learn about all aspects of music production.  
  • Learning skills geared toward arranging music, composing, songwriting, studio recording, producing, engineering, and mixing. 

Student-Teaching Experience, / September 27th, 2023 - present

  • Shadowing and observing middle school music teachers.
  • Assistant teaching during music classes and band/choir rehearsals for grades 4-8.   

ACTIVITIES:

Logic Producing/Composing Lessons, Virtual | March 2021-October 2021

  • Received experience writing and producing with Logic.
  • The experience allowed for being a co-producer on an original song "Carry On".
  • Part of this experience turned into learning the ins and outs of the music industry. 
  • The process included having vocal recording sessions for the song, having weekly assignments to continue the process of producing with this learning style, and being taught different piano and writing skills, as well as lessons on music theory.

Private Vocal Lessons, | July 16th, 2020 - September 7th, 2021

  • Met once a week with a professional vocal coach for vocal lessons.
  • After September of 2021, the lessons became less frequent and would occur when preparing for performances. 
  • Taught vocal exercises and given weekly assignments to improve vocals, including expanding vocal range, teaching how to sing correctly and responsibly, teaching about vocal health and its importance. 
  • Was also provided guidance when starting the songwriting process. 

ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT:

Berklee College of Music Aspire Five Week Performance Intensive, Boston, Massachusetts | July 8th 2023- August 12th, 2023

  • Attended the five week program while taking classes at the college and earned three credits.
  • Was frequently quizzed and tested, as well as having daily to weekly homework assignments. 
  • The final week consisted of live performances and class finals. 

NYU Yellowbrick Music Industry Essentials Course, Online | June 17th 2022- June 29th, 2023

  • Applied and was accepted into the program.
  • The course covers six topics: “The History of the Recording Industry,” “The Music Business,” “Creativity in Content & Artistry,” “Building your Image,” “Producing the Record,” and “Marketing Music in the New Economy.”
  • Has students watch short videos, complete multiple assignments and projects for each topic, and overall, learn about the music industry.
